“International Patriotic Initiative “Twin Cities - Winners”: Strengthening Patriotism and Cultural Exchange between States

The Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Leningrad Region, the public organization "Council for Interethnic Cooperation" organized a round table - a teleconference between museums of three countries: Russia - the Road of Life Museum, Belarus - the Khatyn Memorial Complex and Mongolia - the G.K. Zhukov Museum-apartment. in Ulaanbaatar.

Also, the round table was attended by: the village of Shcheglovo, Leningrad region, as the place of deployment during the Great Patriotic War of the 136th Guards Division and the village of Kameno - Republic of Belarus, where the Khatyn memorial complex is located. The branch of the House of Peoples of Russia in Donetsk and the Center for Public Diplomacy of A.I. Kuindzhi Mariupol State University also joined the event.
The round table was organized as part of the project “International Patriotic Initiative “Twin Cities - Winners”.

The event was held in a hebrid format: representatives of museums joined in the online conference, and some of the participants - representatives of public organizations and national-cultural communities - were present in person at the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Leningrad Region.

During the meeting, the best museum practices, methods of their implementation were identified. Plans have been outlined for joint exhibitions and exchange of delegations.
The head of the Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Leningrad region, Yuri Palamarchuk, noted the importance of such work:

“We express our gratitude to all participants of the round table dedicated to the implementation of the project “International Patriotic Initiative “Twin Cities - Winners”. We are confident that museums’ joint activities will contribute to cultural diplomacy and strengthen ties for the development of tourism and cultural exchange between States.”

The project “International Patriotic Initiative “Twin Cities - Winners” received the support of a Grant from the Governor of the Leningrad Region.
