On April 10, the III International Forum “Health Saving Industry in Greater Eurasia” took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in Moscow. Participants: experts in medicine, health tourism, representatives of public authorities and public figures from Russia, India, Pakistan, Benin, Nigeria, Angola, Arab states - discussed the importance and tools for the introduction and development of health-saving technologies and shared their experience in this area.

Vladimir Padalko, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, welcomed the forum participants. He called the agenda of the forum significant and expressed confidence that the tasks set cannot be solved on the scale of one country:

“The tasks of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia and Africa are extremely important: to give the dialog an international strong character”.

Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian and African Peoples’ Assembly, Professor Yulia Petrova noted that the tools of public diplomacy can be aimed at sharing the best of the practices and technologies accumulated in each country to save and build health.

Svetlana Smirnova, Head of the General Council of the Eurasian and African Peoples’ Assembly, reminded that the Eurasian and African Peoples’ Assembly (EAPA) organizes events dedicated to health saving and active longevity, and plans to create a specialized council that will unite specialists from different countries for more effective and regular work.

“It is important to understand that health saving is a factor in saving the whole of humanity, and this topic will be central at the World Public Assembly, which we will hold in autumn,” said Svetlana Smirnova.

Yulia Lazutkina, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, is sure that the topic of health saving is the basis of the fundamentals:

“In any country, health saving of the nation is a priority task that faces the leadership of all states”.

Dr. Walid Hamed Shiltag, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab League in Moscow, said that the Arab world remains one of the regions most exposed to health risks due to armed conflicts. On behalf of the League of Arab States, he expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for the humanitarian assistance provided to the people of the Gaza Strip and for the opening of a military hospital in the Gaza Strip.

UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian and African Peoples’ Assembly, Doctor of Philosophy Alexandra Ochirova recalled the words of Socrates:

“Health is not everything, but everything is nothing without health”.

She expressed confidence that health is a basic theme of national security and proposed to speak not about saving an individual person, but the entire humanity. Alexandra Ochirova is sure that this should be done together and with the support of culture, which is the most meaning-forming sphere of human activity.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Scientific Director of the Semashko National Research Institute of Public Health Ramil Khabriev noted that health saving issues should not be limited to the competence of the health care system, but should be based on a universal approach, accessibility and knowledge sharing.

Pavel Ustyuzhaninov, Executive Secretary of the Russian-Chinese Chamber, Executive Director of the Russian-Mongolian Business Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, member of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs for International Cooperation Committee, also believes it is necessary to organize meetings between scientists from different countries. He told about the International Competence Center founded last year, which deals with the research of pharmaceuticals and supply of equipment to medical institutions.

During the forum, cooperation agreements were signed between the Eurasian and African Peoples’ Assembly and the Association of Domestic and Inbound Tourism, the BRICS International Development Organization, and the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of Russia.
