The leadership of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly held a working meeting with a representative delegation from the Emirate of Kuwait, headed by Sheikh Nayef Al-Muhanna Al-Adwani. Secretary General of the Assembly Andrey Belianinov emphasized the importance of developing international business cooperation with the use of public diplomacy tools, which is the basis for the development of investment projects in the Persian Gulf region.
During the talks, Sheikh Nayef Al-Muhanna Al-Adwani, member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Representative of the Emirate of Kuwait for Public Diplomacy and Chairman of the Board of the Public Diplomacy Organization "WAGB" reported on the development priorities of the State of Kuwait. The developed country of the Middle East, being, at the same time, a member of the OPEC oil exporters' organization and one of the leading suppliers and recipients of revenues from oil sales to foreign markets, is open for direct foreign investments in the spheres of tourism and innovations. Today Kuwait and the states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation are building their future on the basis of diversification of oil revenues while preserving and developing their political subjectivity, declaring state neutrality on many externally imposed issues.
Emir of Kuwait Mishaal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah see Kuwait's statehood as exclusively sovereign and independent of the pressure of global external players, implementing a state strategy to attract foreign investment in long-term development projects based on friendly and mutually beneficial conditions and a climate of favorable treatment for non-resident investors. Sheikh Nayef Al-Muhanna Al-Adwani and Major General Faisal Al-Jazzaf, member of the Board of the WAGB Public Diplomacy Organization, presented a unique investment project to the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
It is a multifunctional equestrian and recreation complex in the central part of Kuwait on an area of 1 million square meters with expansion possibilities guaranteed by the government up to 2 million square meters. The infrastructure of the project - there is no other of its kind in the world - includes an equestrian base, a racecourse and an indoor air-conditioned stadium with facilities for world-class competitions such as show jumping and steeplechase. There is a specialized veterinary hospital and a global information bank with a complete database on all breeding areas of horse breeding and outstanding champions (Akhalteke, Eagle, English, Arabian, Chechen etc.), a separate noise-isolated shooting center, a 5-star hotel with 150 rooms, a spa complex, a shopping center, an outlet and much more.
The project is unparalleled in the Middle East region and worldwide and is supported by the Kuwaiti government. As Sami Al-Adwani and Nawaf Al-Noun, representatives of the Board of the Public Diplomacy Organization "WAGB", said in the presentation of the Kuwait Dreamland Centre, it is the center of Dreamland, the Dreamland for high-level family holidays, business negotiations and corporate events, and it is also the base of international tourism in Kuwait. Major General Faisal Al-Jazzaf emphasized that Dreamland is open to everyone. For example, the London Jockey Club is very inspired to visit with their horses to the new location to organize international class tournaments. Shorouk Al-Duaij, Member of the Board of the Public Diplomacy Organization "WAGB" highlighted the absolute openness of the project supported by the Government of the Emirate of Kuwait.
What can this country of the Persian Gulf open to friends be? A mass tourism destination for residents of Eurasia, a place of warm meetings of friends representing all peoples of the continent - yes, definitely. The economic development lines of all states are determined by their openness to new large-scale projects that do not depend solely on the oil and gas budget component. Arab states are building nuclear power plants and developing a system of tax privileges and preferences to enhance their sovereign development in the open Eurasian space. These are obvious trends of the modern multipolar world, where independent friendly relations between countries and peoples come first.
As Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrey Belyaninov said at the meeting, the project of Kuwaiti friends can be highly competitive in the Gulf region and the world - for example, the emirate of Dubai and other UAE emirates are increasing non-oil revenues from the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and investment projects, including the development of resort destinations for international tourism. The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly supported the project; further stages of its implementation will be worked out in more detail by the Russia-Kuwait Interstate Bilateral Committee.
Head of the Sustainable Development Directorate Yaser Allaham emphasized that Kuwait plans to create huge additional preferences for foreign investors and partners within such large-scale development projects to develop international tourism and increase investment attractiveness.
Svetlana Smirnova, Chair of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, expressed confidence that the project would arouse interest not only in the global community and in the states of Eurasia, but also at the regional level. Rim Khafizov, director of the company Ecoproduct from the Republic of Bashkortostan, invited the distinguished guests to familiarize themselves with their production and one of the beautiful republics within the Russian Federation. This company produces eco-halal products, including kumys, a traditional fermented milk drink of Turkic and Mongolian peoples, known for thousands of years and most similar in composition to human mother's milk. Kumys is an excellent export product, and it is to be hoped that this drink from Bashkortostan will soon appear in the a la carte offerings of Dreamland restaurants in the center of Kuwait.
Bashkir breeds, Eagle trotters, Akhaltekins, Arabian thoroughbreds and dozens of other breeds - what could be better for those who are truly in love with these beautiful creatures? The Eurasian Centre of Equestrian Traditions and the Association for the Development of Horse Breeding, established with the participation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, predict great prospects for the development of the Kuwaiti project.
"Nothing like what they voiced does exist in the whole world yet - it is important that they offered to transfer 200 thousand square metres of territory plus a part of profit from commercial implementation to investors for use. This is a very interesting project for us," said Oksana Zhavoronkova, Director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Eurasian Centre of Equestrian Traditions" and Director of the Horse Breeding Development Association.
