The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly under the support of the A.M. Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Foundation holds an international Competition "Smart Cities Solutions: East – West".
The goals of the Competition are to create a broad dialogue platform for expanding the network of international contacts between young scientists in Russia and the countries of the Middle East and North Africa; assistance in disseminating the outcomes and achievements of young scientists from different countries in the following socially significant topics: "green cities", "urban regeneration", "safe cities", "accessible inclusive cities"; increasing the level of competencies of participants in international scientific, technological and innovative cooperation related to the issues of "smart" management and the use of urban life systems.
Young scientists (undergraduates, graduate students or researchers of an educational institutions of higher education without a degree) from the following countries can take part in the Competition: Russian Federation, United Arab Emirates, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco.
The Competition jury will include representatives from among the teaching staff of universities from various countries and international organizations. According to the results of the Competition, 5 Russian and 5 foreign projects will be selected.
To participate, young scientists submit their projects to the Organizing Committee in electronic form at smartcities@eurasia-assembly.org.

Deadline for the Competition "Smart Solutions of Cities: East - West":
- August 07, 2022 - October 10, 2022 inclusive.
The deadline for submitting competitive works is September 30, 2022.
The deadline for announcing the results of the Competition is October 10, 2022.
The winners of the Competition receive diplomas and are provided with air tickets and accommodation for participation in the International Forum "Smart Cities Solutions: East-West", which will be held in Belgorod on October 25-27, 2022.
Requirements and list of documents for participation in the International Competition
The following mandatory documents must be submitted to the Organizing Committee in electronic form at smartcities@eurasia-assembly.org:
- a document confirming the current status of an undergraduate or graduate student of a university in one of the countries indicated above (a certificate from the university, a letter of confirmation from the head of the program, a letter of confirmation from a university professor to choose from);
- consent to the processing of personal data in the form approved by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly (download);
- project presentation up to 12 slides (in PPT(X) or PDF format) or video presentation up to 90 seconds in English;
- a brief annotation of the project in English up to 1200 characters.
To participate in the Competition, young scientists also provide the following additional documents to the Organizing Committee in electronic form at smartcities@eurasia-assembly.org:
- list of published scientific articles, projects, works;
- list of speeches at scientific conferences;
- copies of documents confirming that the young scientist has prizes and other awards, indicating the recognition of his scientific or other creative achievements;
- copies of documents confirming the receipt and implementation by young scientists of grants, scientific scholarships, completed scientific internships in programs in the field of development of scientific and technical activities;
- list of patents, positive decisions, utility model certificates;
- a list of developed and implemented software products, databases, laboratory equipment, etc.;
- list of submitted applications for inventions of rationalization proposals;
- letters of recommendation.

The Organizing Committee has the right to request additional information from the participants within the Competition. In case of failure to provide the requested information, the organizer has the right to reject the application for participation in the Competition.
In case the information contained in the application submitted by the tender participant and other documents is found to be unreliable, such participants are excluded from participation in the Competition at any stage of the Competition.
All materials submitted for participation in the Competition are not returned to the participants of the Competition and are not reviewed.
Participants of the Competition are required to provide a written consent to the processing of personal data transferred to the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly for participation in the Competition.
Personal data is used and stored solely for the purpose of holding the Competition, selecting and announcing the winners.
The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly ensures the security of the processed personal data of the Competition participants in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
