On September 21 at 5 p.m. (Moscow time), on the International Day of Peace, Vyacheslav Egorov will be the guest of the “EYA Lecture Hall” project. He is an artist and the UN Messengers of Peace, Director of the Center for Ecological and Cultural Expeditions of the United Nations Association.
Vyacheslav Egorov has been fond of painting since childhood. His debut as an artist was in 1980, during the Olympic Games. There he presented several portraits of famous athletes. Vyacheslav Egorov is the leader and participant of 104 expeditions to Tibet and Altiplano, Gobi and Nazca, Cordillera and Tien Shan, Karakum and Sahara, to the Pamirs and the Caucasus, the Far North, to the Amazon selva, Australia. Vyacheslav Egorov organized a series of expeditions along almost all the routes traversed by the great travelers: Nicholas Roerich, Sven Gedin, Alexander von Humboldt, Vasily Vereshchagin and Grigory Langsdorf. Vyacheslav Egorov has worked on World Heritage Sites in almost 100 countries while studying ancient civilizations.
In 2020, the artist presented a series of paintings dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the exploration of Antarctica.
