April 21, at 19:00 (Moscow time), the stage of the Great Hall of the Cinema House (Moscow, Russia) will host the solemn awarding of the Russian laureates of the Chinese Film Academy Award in documentary cinema – China Documentary Film Award. For the first time in 11 years of holding this prestigious award, awarded in China at the state level, it was received by Russian cinematographers.
The event is supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
The awards will be presented to the laureates by the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly Andrey Belyaninov, President of the Guild of Film Directors Nikolai Lebedev, President of the Commission of Non-Fiction Cinema of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation Sergey Miroshnichenko, President of the Guild of Producers and Organizers of Film Production of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation Philip Kudryashov, Deputy Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, Deputy Chairman of the Russia-Chinese Friendship Society Sergey Sanakoev, Russian journalist and political scientist Vitaly Tretyakov.
After the ceremony, the guests will see Vyacheslav Krasko's film "I am Che Guevara. A story told in the first-person narrative". This film became the winner in the nomination "Best documentary in a foreign language", and the film "Celestial Crimea" by Sergey Debizhev, a nominee for the award for best editing.
The awards ceremony will be preceded by a press conference with the authors, which will begin at 18:00 in the conference hall of the Cinema House.
