Vestnik Kavkaza: A Lecture Hall of Azerbaijani literature named after Nizami Ganjavi will appear at RUDN University

A lecture hall of Azerbaijani literature named after the poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi will be opened at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in Moscow.

The ceremony will take place on November 3, 2022. The organizer of the event is the Regional National-Cultural Autonomy of Azerbaijanis of the Moscow Region (RNKAMO).

The purpose of the lecture hall is to present Azerbaijani literature from the 7th to the 21st centuries, as well as to show the extensive Azerbaijani-Russian literary ties as a guarantee of friendship between peoples and to reflect the manifestations of Azerbaijani literature in world culture.

The author of the idea of ​​opening an auditorium of Azerbaijani literature named after Nizami Ganjavi was Associate Professor of the Faculty of Philology of RUDN University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Anar Hasanov, whose initiative was supported by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Doctor of Philology, Professor Viktor Barabash. The project was developed by Nizami Aliyev, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, member of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, together with Associate Professor Anar Hasanov and Chairman of RNKAMO Elshan Ibragimov.

Representatives of the relevant state authorities of Russia and Azerbaijan, the scientific and pedagogical community and graduates of RUDN University, non-profit organizations of Russia, the Azerbaijani diaspora, and the media will take part in the opening ceremony of the lecture hall.
