Discussion of the project goes not without some difficulties, - Andrey Belyaninov emphasized

KAZAN, 7 December. /TASS/. EURASIADA - Eurasian competitions in national and non-Olympic sports - may take place in the next two years, one of the stages of the competition may take place in Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan). Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, announced this to TASS on Wednesday on the sidelines of the International Forum on the 50th anniversary of the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

"The idea of the EURASIADA is good, it is correct. These are not alternative sports, but they are absolutely free from commerce, from politics, and so on. The idea itself is so correct and good that everyone will support it. Any competitions that take place in any kind sports and anywhere in, say, the countries of former Soviet Union - everything could be called the EURASIADA (Eurasian Games). So that later it will eventually turn into final competitions. It looks like it could be in Issyk-Kul. Maybe one of the stages" - said Belyaninov, adding that this could happen in the next one or two years.

According to him, the discussion of the Eurasian project is not without some difficulties. "Initially, it was based on the idea - folklore sports, national ones. And now it turns out that it is acquiring some more details," - Belyaninov said, adding that the project would be discussed during his next visit to Bishkek.
