TASS: Moscow hosted a Press Conference "Victory Engineers: Interactive Connection between Generations"

TASS, 31 August. In TASS, on the eve of the Knowledge Day, there was held a press conference "Victory Engineers: Interactive Connection between Generations" dedicated to the development of a social project to preserve the historical memory of the victories and achievements of the domestic industry in critical years for the country.

Started in the year of the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II, the “Victory Engineers” project, held as part of the International Youth Scientific and Technical Festival Ot Vinta! (under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Trade of Russia), for the first time presented archival data on designers, engineers, scientists who made a key contribution to the technological breakthrough of the 40s-50s of the last century to a wide audience.

The conference was attended by representatives of government, science and industry, public figures, journalists.

Addressing the audience, Alexei Matushansky, Director of the Department for Strategic Development and Corporate Policy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, recalled that the “Ot Vinta!” began to be the first in the country to revive the scientific and technical movement of children and youth, and noted that today such projects as "Victory Engineers" play a key role in transferring the successful experience of engineers of the past to modern young professionals.

Speaking on behalf of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, acting, Deputy General Director of the USC for interaction with authorities and public relations, Nikita Pichugin emphasized that many plants that are now part of the corporation took an active part in filling the project with valuable archival data on the feat of labor collectives-shipbuilders.

Head of the Historical Park "Russia-My History" (Krasnodar) Sergey Kuznetsov announced the first results of the multimedia exhibition "Victory Engineers", which ended the day before, and expressed confidence that it could be of interest to residents of many regions of the country.

The opening of the information section "Victory Engineers"on the media platform "Historical Network of Russia", said the President of the National Business Partnership "Alliance Media" Igor Gorodnichiy. The platform is being created jointly with the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in order to preserve historical memory, popularize scientific and technical creativity, patriotism and historical education of young people.

Pupils of the Engineering Courses of the Children's Technopark "Naukograd" of the Moscow Federal Law Academy under the guidance of Alexei Chumachenko also made a presentation on the work of the Soviet scientist Roberto Bartini, whom academician Sergei Korolev - the father of the Soviet space program called his teacher.

In the final on behalf of the Festival "Ot Vinta!" words of gratitude were expressed for comprehensive support to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, USC, the Rosoboronexport concern and the All-Russian organization "Officers of Russia". As well as the words of the ideologist of the "Victory Engineers" Victoria Soboleva were quoted: “In a short time the project united representatives several generations, different spheres of life, and today it becomes a kind of chronicle of technological victories.”

All participants of the meeting agreed that the "Victory Engineers" project is a landmark example of transferring the successful experience of the past to young professionals, educating the youth of the psychology of winners, which is extremely important in connection with the challenges facing the country today, where the industry has always been and remains reliable the backbone of the state.
