On November 18, Secretary General of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" Andrei Belyaninov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui met at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation.
Andrey Belyaninov congratulated Zhang Hanhui on the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party and the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between China and Russia.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly with non-governmental organizations in China.
The meeting was also attended by:
- on the part of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation - Counselor, Head of the Department of Bilateral Relations and Press Service Zhang Yi, Second Secretary, Assistant to the Ambassador Zhang Xiaqi;
- on the part of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly - First Deputy Secretary General - Head of the General Secretariat Svetlana Smirnova, Deputy Secretary General, Deputy Head of the General Secretariat for International Cooperation Yulia Petrova, Deputy Secretary General, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society Sergey Sanakoev.
The meeting of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly leadership and representatives of China, in the opinion of its participants, will allow strengthening mutual integration in various topical areas of cooperation in the very near future.
