Master Class with the Participation of Director Alexei Pishchulin within the Republican Youth Contest “Let's Preserve the Truth about the Victory!”

On March 27, 2020 the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly hosted a master class with the participation of the Head of the project “Immortal Memory”, Deputy Secretary General, Chairman of the Council for Cooperation in the Eurasian Media Space of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, President of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio Valery Ruzin, artist, director and producer Alexei Pishchulin, scientific worker of the SIC (AIRO-XXI), associate professor of Moscow State Linguistic University, PhD in Art History Peter Cheremushkin and director of the Russian Intellectual Centre, deputy chairman of the Congress of Russian Communities of the Republic of Moldova on Education and Science Elena Burakova. The master class took place as part of the “Immortal Memory” project for the participants of the Republican youth competition “Let's preserve the truth about Victory!” (Republic of Moldova).

Participants of the competition, schoolchildren and students from the Republic of Moldova were able to communicate with invited experts and ask their questions to successful professionals in cinema, photography and education.

Director, screenwriter and producer Alexei Pishchulin gave an amazing master class on the basics and main laws of shooting. He talked about his work on large-scale historical projects, shared his creative principles, films and literary works, which he revises for inspiration and answered questions.

At the end of the educational program of the master class, Pyotr Cheremushkin shared his creative experience using his own drawings and photographs of monuments as an example, as well as he analysed the key mistakes in shooting, and gave practical advice to young competitors.

Republican youth contest “Let’s Preserve the Truth about the Victory!” is dedicated to the creation of a video register of Soviet military graves and memorial sites on the territory of the republics of the former USSR and the European Union.

The purpose of the contest is to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War on the territory of Moldova and Transnistria.
