Katun 24: The Governor of the Altai Territory became the Head of the Organizing Committee of the International Forum on Cooperation between the Countries of the Central Asian Region

The forum will focus on issues of interaction between the countries of Central Asia and the Greater Altai, including interethnic and interfaith relations, international migration and security, cross-border economic and humanitarian cooperation.

International Research Forum "Modern World: Stability and Security in the Central Asian Region" will take place in Barnaul on April 21 – 23, 2022.

The forum will include a research conference, a Round Table "Altai civilization as the basis of the system of international relations in the regions of the Greater Altai and Central Asia", a competition of scientific papers and socially significant projects. The organizing committee includes State Duma Deputy Vladimir Shamanov, Secretary General of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly", Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the competition of scientific works and socially significant projects "Civil and political activity: Interethnic and interfaith relations in the regions of Central Asia and the Greater Altai” Andrey Belyaninov, rectors of universities in the Altai Territory, the press service of the regional government clarifies.

Scientists, students and graduate students of universities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan will be able to participate in the international meeting in full-time and part-time form. The organizers expect the attendance of special guests - prominent public and political figures, including Russian senators, employees of the diplomatic services of the CIS States.

In addition, in preparation for the forum, until March 31, applications are accepted for the International Competition of Scientific Works and Socially Significant Projects “Civil and Political Activity: Interethnic and Interfaith Relations in the Regions of Central Asia and the Greater Altai”. Students, graduate students, professors-researchers, public figures and organizations of the CIS countries participate in the forum. The Head of this international project is Vladimir Shamanov, Hero of Russia, Chairman of the Russian Association of Heroes, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, Issues of Public and Religious Associations. Among the organizers of the competition there are the leading universities of the Altai Territory and the Republic of Altai, Vladimir Shamanov's “Defenders of the Fatherland” Foundation.
