The International Competition "Leader of People's Diplomacy" has started

In 2022 for the first time the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia supported by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly holds the International Competition "LEADER OF PEOPLE'S DIPLOMACY". Applications acceptance started on August 1, 2022.

The competition is held to develop the positive potential of partnership and cooperation; creation of a system to support direct contacts between wide circles of civil society, exchange of best practices in the field of public diplomacy, contributing to the strengthening of trust, friendship and cooperation between peoples.

Citizens of the Russian Federation, their compatriots living abroad, foreign citizens - representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Internet communities implementing projects in the field of public diplomacy, whose activities do not contradict Russian law, at the age of 18 can take part in the competition, having experience in implementing projects in the field of public diplomacy as a leader for at least two years. Leaders of NGOs implementing projects in the field of public diplomacy should not be state and municipal employees.

Until September 30, the competition website is accepting competitive materials (filled in on the website: http://народнаядипломатия.рф/o-nas/registratsiya; http://народнаядипломатия.рф/o-nas/#rasp), in parallel, expert evaluation of competitive materials.

October 1 - 10, an educational intensive will be held for all participants of the competition in an online format.

100 contestants will pass to the semi-finals of the competition and on October 17-31, an online workshop will be held for them (performing practical tasks, solving practical cases).

Only 30 people will reach the final, of which the winners, the leaders of people's diplomacy, will be determined. The final will be held as part of the International Forum in Perm in offline and online format.

The competition commission is already accepting materials in the following areas:

• Cultural diplomacy;
• Business diplomacy;
• Scientific diplomacy;
• Digital diplomacy;
• Tourism diplomacy;
• Sports diplomacy;
• historical memory;
• Volunteering/volunteering;
• gastronomic diplomacy;

and others.

The winners of the competition are awarded with gold badges with the symbols of the competition; winners - silver and bronze badges with the symbols of the competition. The winners and prize-winners are awarded diplomas of the competition, letters of thanks from the organizers and partners, as well as valuable prizes from the sponsors of the competition.

The materials of the best practices of the winners and prize-winners of the competition will be posted on the website of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia and on the website of the competition: http://народнаядипломатия.рф and http://public-diplomacy.org
