Igor Khalevinsky: Representative Offices will strengthen the Assembly in Eurasia

Today, on December 7, a meeting of the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly with his deputies took place.

The central issue of the meeting was the discussion of possible infrastructural bodies of the Assembly on the territory of the continent (Representative offices, Eurasian Centres).

During the discussion, Igor Khalevinsky (Russia), Co-Chairman of the General Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Chairman of the Council of Russian Diplomats’ Association (Russia), mentioned the practice of Honorary Consuls and the need for close interaction with the national offices of UNESCO. “Representative bodies, formed according local legal norms, and ambassadors can further strengthen the Assembly's efforts to maintain peace, friendship, human values and mutual understanding on the vast continent of Eurasia”, - Igor Khalevinsky stressed.
