A Gastronomic Dinner in honor of the 200th Anniversary of Dostoevsky will take place in Bashkortostan

In Bashkortostan, the Dostoevsky Menu Gastronomic Dinner will be held by a member of the Public Council, Director of the club of like-minded restaurateurs BUffet Vitaly Baranovsky at the Persona Food restaurant. The event is supported by the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia).

The event is timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Russian writer, thinker, philosopher and publicist Fyodor Dostoevsky.

The gastronomic dinner will be based on the motives and recollections of loved ones and Dostoevsky himself. Fyodor Mikhailovich loved to eat tasty and good food, he loved Russian cuisine. On special days, he preferred wine and veal escalope for inspiration, and before sweets he could skip half glasses of cognac. And the writer’s wife Anna Grigorievna was a real restaurant observer; in her diaries she described their trips abroad in detail.

A gastronomic dinner will be accompanied by wines from the Philosopher wine boutique with the main participation of chefs: Azat Nizamutdinov, Dmitry Makarkin, Pavel Borozdin. Cavist: Farhat Akhunov. Partners: Persona Food, IE Kovalsky, Forma Truda, GREENBOX. Music at the evening will be performed by musician - saxophonist Nikita Poroshin and Dj Alber.

Also within the event, a copy of the famous painting by the French artist Claude Monet, who lived and created his masterpieces during the era of Fyodor Dostoevsky, will be presented in an auction for the first time.

Recall that the 200th anniversary of Fyodor Dostoevsky is widely celebrated all over the world since November 11. At UNESCO, the whole of 2021 is dedicated to the name of the Great Russian writer.

In connection with such a significant anniversary, supported by the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, together with the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN Office in Geneva, a concert was organized in the building of the UN Office in Geneva as part of the cultural and social project "Dostoevsky and Music".
