Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrei Belyaninov congratulated the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and its Executive Secretary Grigory Ordzhonikidze on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of UNESCO, a specialized UN subdivision for education, science and culture.

In particular, the congratulation says:

- UNESCO was founded in 1945 with the aim of developing “intellectual and global human solidarity” and building a lasting peace. The principles and goals set out in the constituent documents in 1945 remain valid to this day. They support the impressive unifying progress of science, culture and education. According to these principles the acquisition of knowledge serves the democratic ideal of equality and respect for the human person.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly expresses its gratitude to You personally, dear Grigory Eduardovich, for your invaluable contribution to the development of institutions of public diplomacy in the Russian Federation and uniting efforts of state and non-governmental organizations in order to promote integration processes, approve the ideas of peace-making, interethnic dialogue, cultural and humanitarian interaction.

The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples' Assembly” reaffirms its commitment to the noble goals of UNESCO and will continue to work in the areas that are fundamental to guarantee the rights of Eurasian nations, such as the right to preserve their language and culture or the right to build their future by passing on their cultural heritage to young generations through appropriate education. In its activities, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly fully relies on the ideological and organizational support of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.
