Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and Vernadsky Non-Governmental Ecological Foundation signed an Agreement

News. December 24 - The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples' Assembly” and the Vernadsky Non-Governmental Ecological Foundation signed an agreement on cooperation.

The goals of cooperation are to achieve sustainable environmentally oriented socio-economic development of society and its responsible attitude to the natural and cultural heritage of the countries of the Eurasian space. The plans include the organization of international discussions on environmental problems and the development of programs related to environmental education and awareness.

The General Secretary Andrey Belyaninov and the General Director of the Foundation Olga Plyamina signed the cooperation agreement.

The signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in Moscow.

Eurasian Peoples' Assembly

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is an international non-governmental organization aimed at forming a social integration model in the name of establishing peace and harmony through the development of multilateral cooperation and public (people's) diplomacy in the Eurasian space. Currently, the Assembly brings together representatives from over 40 countries. The Assembly signed 98 agreements with partners in various fields of activity: culture, entrepreneurship, development of integration ties among the peoples of Eurasia, public diplomacy. Vernadsky Non-Governmental Ecological Foundation

The Foundation was established in 1995 on the initiative of PJSC Gazprom. For 25 years, the Foundation has been implementing socially significant projects in the field of environmental protection, the development of environmental education, the formation of environmental culture, acting as a connecting thread between the state, business and society and uniting the efforts of these parties in solving environmental problems. The main goal of the Foundation is to assist the implementation of projects aimed at ensuring sustainable development of Russia based on harmony with the environment in all available forms and methods. The strategic goal of the organization is to achieve sustainable environmentally oriented socio-economic development of society based on the scientific heritage of Academician V.I. Vernadsky.
