The Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly will open in the near future in South Ossetia. Relevant agreements were reached in Moscow during a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Dmitry Medoev, and the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, Andrey Belyaninov, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the Transcaucasian Republic reported on Wednesday.

“Taking into account the growing role of integration processes on the Eurasian continent and attaching great importance to the development of communication platforms at the international level in order to establish humanitarian and business cooperation, the sides expressed their intention to sign an agreement on cooperation and open a Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of South Ossetia”, - the ministry informs.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on key issues of friendly bilateral relations, discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects and events in culture and economy.

The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the International Union of non-governmental organizations and citizens with an active life position, sharing and promoting the ideas and values ​​of Eurasian integration, protection of peace, strengthening friendship, harmony, partnership and good neighborliness among peoples, was established at the Constituent Assembly on May 27, 2017.
