The official sign of the easternmost point of Europe’s cities (according to the Guinness Book of records) is installed in Ufa, in the Park named after Yakutov.

The sign was installed at the expense of extra-budgetary funds and by an institution headed by one of the members of the Public Council of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ruslan Kinzikeev. A similar sign is located in the extreme Western point of Europe, in Portugal, on the Cape of Rock; it is one of the most popular tourist places in the world.

The sign installed in Bashkortostan is made in the form of an Earth sphere made of two types of colored granite. The shape of the Republic territory is made of Bashkir Jasper.

Thanks to the public initiative, this unique brand can become not only a tourist symbol, but also allow Bashkortostan to claim to host Euro-Asian border forums, since it represents the unity of the peoples of Europe and Asia on the territory of the Republic.
