On April 21, the Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov took part in a round table devoted to the prospects of international communications in the context of sanctions restrictions. The event, organized by the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia), took place in Ufa at the site of the non-profit association Sant'Agostino.
Andrei Nazarov stressed that in this difficult time, the activities of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly are gaining a new meaning and should make a significant contribution to maintaining foreign economic relations. It should become a bridge not only for cultural integration between countries, but also for economic cooperation.
- Not all of our partners share a tough position on the termination of all cooperation. For example, our Italian colleagues – the non-profit association Sant'Agostino conduct real business in the republic. We continue to work effectively, and we are confident in the further development of this partnership," Andrei Nazarov said.
The Prime Minister added that now it is necessary to focus as much as possible on solving issues related to building the logistics of production and delivery of goods. It is necessary to actively seek and implement new tools for the development of international economic relations.
- We plan to increase the compensation of the costs of transportation of export products to 90% of the costs incurred. The maximum amount of the subsidy will increase to 8 million rubles. At the same time, measures to support the certification of products for entering new markets of friendly countries are maintained. The implementation of industry-specific acceleration programs will continue. We will also increase support in the placement of products on international trading platforms, - said Andrey Nazarov.
Ruslan Kinzikeev, Chairman of the Committee on Business, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation with Italy of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia), a moderator of the round table, also suggested building logistics production chains and supplies of goods through customs cooperation through friendly countries.
Andrea Bettoni, member of the Public Council of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russia), organizer of the Society for the Interaction of Business Circles of Italy and the Republic of Bashkortostan, highly appreciated the support of entrepreneurship in Bashkortostan, noting that the republic is one of the most comfortable regions for doing business in Russia.
At the end of the event, the President of the Italian regional non-profit association Sant Agostino, Elio Cappiello, presented Andrey Nazarov with a Letter of Thanks for his assistance in strengthening economic, scientific and cultural cooperation between Italy and Bashkortostan.
In turn, Andrey Nazarov invited Italian colleagues and members of the Public Council of the Representation of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in the Republic of Bashkortostan to take part in the third All-Russian Investment Sabantuy "Trans-Urals-2022", which will be held on June 3 - 4, 2022 in the city of Sibay. He also offered to develop a restaurant business in the cities of the republic, promising to allocate rental space for these purposes.
According to the data provided by the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic Margarita Bolycheva, Italy ranks 15th in the foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan ($73 million for 2021).
- In the current situation, our partners want to maintain economic relations with Bashkortostan, despite the sanctions decisions of the leadership of these countries against Russia. One of these partners is Italy. We are ready to support the decision of our colleagues to invest in our region, for our part we will provide comprehensive support," - Margarita Bolycheva said.
